Documenting weddings has been our profession and our passion since 2004. Our goal: to set a new standard for wedding videography and to become the driving force of quality and service in St. Louis and the Metro-East.

We prefer to call our highly cinematic version of your day a "Wedding Film," not a "Wedding Video." The only necessary components of a wedding video are the wedding and a video camera - run by Uncle Bob, perhaps? A Wedding Film produced by Archway Media involves creative direction, technological direction, and skilled, unobtrusive videography. Owners Brian and Angee Ferris understand you have invested so much care and attention to details in the planning of your perfect day, and they will do the same in filming and editing your Wedding Film.

Our philosophy is to capture your memories - not create them. Does this mean that we won't suggest something we think will be great for your movie if the opportunity presents itself? No way! It means that we won't ask you to reconstruct certain moments or events and we won't step on your photographer's toes or your tight schedule by imposing our own agenda. That's why we categorize our shooting style as "documentary," even though the finished product is highly polished. Our only agenda is to film your day - the fun, romance, and magic - as it unfolds.

On a related note, as discreet and professional as we strive to be, it's important to realize we are part of your day. Your photographers and videographers are "up close and personal" with you and everyone close to you. We urge you to meet with these vendors personally, before signing a contract. Make sure you'll enjoy spending your day with whomever you retain in these areas. We hear over and over again that our presence during the wedding day is enjoyable and comfortable; that our personalities and the way we relate to everyone throughout the day eases the nerves and awkwardness most people would feel around our imposing cameras. We love that.

It's difficult to describe what happens in post-production. As our Creative Director, Angee is inspired by so many factors as she creates your wedding film: the mood of the day, the couple's and families' personalities, the footage, and, in large part, your music choices. It may seem like a daunting task, but your music choices guide our creative process. Your Film can feel romantic, traditional, or contemporary - or any combination of those cinematic tones, based on the union of your music choices and the footage we've captured.

Our editing room is not a lab or a kitchen; we follow no formulas or recipes. This may help to explain why our work might seem so different than our competitors', but you can't quite identify why. When you retain Archway Media, you've commissioned an artist to create a personalized representation of the most special day of your life that you and your family will enjoy for generations. Other companies may be able to promise a faster turn-around of your video, but we ask you: You've waited a lifetime for your perfect wedding...isn't it worth waiting a few more months for a work of art you will treasure always?

We have been filming weddings since late 2004 and will surpass the 100 mark during the 2008 wedding season.

Brian previously owned a small IT consulting firm when he began to realize the need to bring quality video production services to businesses and families in the bi-state area. On location, Brian is the Technical Director as well as offering his expertise behind the camera. In the office, Brian is the Project Manager for all video and other media projects, he takes care of other "techy" tasks that fall under other types of media projects (web, software, marketing), among many other tedious daily tasks, of course.

Angee joined Brian as full-time Co-Owner of Archway Media Services upon completing her Secondary Education degree from SIUE in 2006. Having spent that summer emersing herself in the business more than ever before and taking over many editing projects, she decided to follow her heart and chose to postpone actively pursuing a teaching career. Angee was the wedding coordinator at her church for a few years, which helped give her experience with everything that goes into the wedding day...enough experience to know the many challenges involved, and also to know that a career in the wedding industry would be a good fit. On location, Angee is Lead Videographer and Creative Director. In the office, Angee is Lead Editor and your main contact now, during your wedding, and after. (She also has plenty of tedious daily tasks.)

Together the couple makes a powerful team - a team that has both technical and creative expertise. Their experience allows them to maintain control of their task amidst the chaos of the wedding day. Their confidence in their own skills and in each other means they will not add any of their own stress to your day. Their professionalism means they respect the whole of the wedding day - the people, the ceremony, other vendors. Their belief in the sanctity of marriage means that, even as they watch through a view-finder, they stand in agreement with all of your loved ones in praying for your marriage and your life together. Brian and Angee feel very passionately that the Film they are creating for you can be a powerful tool to remind you of your love for each other and the commitment you've made to each other even during the inevitable difficult times ahead.
